......and WE'RE OFF !!!!!!!!

WOW!

Jeremiah here! This is my official first post on a blog ever. 2023. A dear friend of mine recently said there is much peace to be found in truth. Here is my truth, musically and spiritually. I have been a fan of music, and a player of music, since I was 6. I am 56. Faras I can see the energy that music organizes and breathes to life inside me is a magical process. Music is of this world and at the same time it is from another. It's ability to stir human emotion places it amongst the world's most powerful drugs.

The communities that gather around music often times bring the yin to the artists' yang, thus amplifying said results that oft border/dance in the streets of the mystical, along the back alleys of transcendence, down into the belly of the beast where rhythm & blues in melding form to the latest iteration of the evolutionary process, the ultimate improvisation. The Everlasting Gobbstopper of Melody!

Anyhoo, look a chicken, I digress.

The perk of beginning a community as human #1 in is that I get to set the initial course. In doing so I ask that together we create a community based in love, for the purpose of expanding love, in a constructive manner that attracts like minded friends that feel pretty much the same, you know people that value belonging.

Some artists have fans, and that's super cool, others still have communities that endure. My daughter and I are scheduled to see 4 farewell tour shows of Dead & Co this summer . It is an honor to have followed Bob and the gang back to my first Dead show w Jerry in 92, w Sting as the opening act (I was such a dumbass and never made it in to see Sting open. He sounded great from what I could hear over the compressor of the Nitrous Van blowing up balloons for its traveling patrons)

I am hopeful that the music that we play for you will spark a fire that grows in time so that we become a community, a family of familiar souled spirits rising from all previous moments, to become this eternally present moment that with proper feeding will live on and on and on to serve this tribe.

Looking forward to hearing from y'all and building a conversation with you!

See you on Down the River!!!

.....Just returned from a photoshoot and co-writing session in Joshua Tree, California on this past monday.
We spent time in a house on a hill just outside the park with an amazing view down into town with a backdrop of majestically adorned snow capped mountains that appeared endless in reach.
Walking into a gigantic "forest" of Joshua Tree's the wind howled about, delivering to us a cool 50 degree sunny afternoon. The dark sides of the boulders 20 feet up still held their snow begrudgingly, only relinquishing control of its solid form to floating dew before escaping thru evaporation to chill the air. It brought to mind those times of just reaching into grandma's icebox for a pop on a ruthless, august day in the middle of a heat wave down the Jersey shore.
Its always a joy to co-write!
actually that feels off,
Its always worth attempting o co-write.
Magic appears when 2 or more are gathered or something along those lines.
I try to remember that I truly have no idea what the other writer is going through in regards to their life, its challenges and its blessings but all I can remember is that if we can find our way to a place of connection a song that will move people has a chance to be born.
Seems quite miraculous!
peace out for now!!
